This blog usually has something to do with fiber, dyes, quilts, gardens, nature, watercolor, photos of different things I come across. It originally was about items I had started and needed to finish, then I tried posting a photo everyday, but that didn't work. So it is anyone's guess what will show up at this point.

Weather!!
This is the result of some very high winds we experienced yesterday evening. It was a beautiful crab apple tree. Not sure what is going to happen to it now as over half of the tree is on the ground. At least we didn't get any hail or rain.
apple wood is great flavoring for your future barbecues and will make great firewood in a fireplace. at least it's death can bring some good to all of you. ann
We cut it up and hauled it off. Should have saved some for the BBQ. I still can as it is just out at the pit. Looked like it had split there years ago. Just took a 60+mph raging wind to bring it down.
Gee Susan you're just getting hit left and right with bad weather.
ReplyDeleteDid it look like it was weak or diseased in that area? Have you guys decided what you're going to do with it?
